Allen Charles Burch, Jr.

     Allen Charles Burch Jr., 75, of Douglasville, Georgia, peacefully passed away on October 4, 2025. Born on December 15, 1949, in Dallas, Texas, he was the cherished son of Allen Charles Burch Sr. and Jessie Lorenza Butts. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Sr. and Jessie, his loving wife, Opal Faye Carter Burch, his sister, Phanchon Chell Burch, his son, David Charles Burch and his nephew Richard Jerard Burch.

     A proud alum of East High School and the University of Colorado, Allen stood out not only for his towering 6’8” stature but also for his remarkable imagination. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on November 6, 1977, and dedicated decades of service to the Monaco Parkway Congregation alongside his beloved wife, Opal. Together, they cultivated a life grounded in faith, family, and community service, touching countless lives with their warmth and generosity.

     Allen embodied curiosity, intellect, and humor. He had a passion for music, art, science, and the mysteries of the universe. He found beauty in learning and took joy in teaching his children valuable life lessons from untangling curls to cleaning squid, and cherishing the wonders of everyday life.

     He will be profoundly missed by his children: Shjna Michelle, Cjadek Allen, and Teresa Deann; his grandchildren: Kayla Teresa (Simmons) Harp, Jordann Antellé Simmons, Ajza Faye Simmons, Cjadek Allen Burch Jr., and Charles Conrad Burch; and his great-grandchildren: Paxton Kobe Harp and Peyton Christopher Harp. He is also survived by his loving sister, Linda Beatrice Burch-Pierce, along with her children, Brionn (Pierce) Weddington and Brooc Lorenzo Dawkins, as well as his beloved great-nieces and great-nephews and many dear friends who became family.

     Allen’s heart was as vast as his frame, filled with laughter, creativity, and compassion. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, whose life was shaped by faith, imagination, and love.

     A memorial service will take place on October 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 10081 E 25th Ave, Aurora, CO 80010.
