On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, Anthony “Ryan” Lorren stepped into glory and met Jesus face to face. He passed peacefully surrounded by family members.
Ryan was born in Atlanta on October 29, 1964, to the late Elmer Gorden Lorren and the late Mary Jo Woodall Lorren. He is survived by his wife, Kristi, son Adam and wife, Lindsey, and their children, Daisy, Owen and Violet, and son Joseph and fiancée, Sarah Greer. His sister, Angela Honea, brother, Jeff Lorren, and stepmother, Pat Lorren, also survive.
For the last 34 years, Ryan worked in the pest control industry in sales, service and management. In 2006, he was able to purchase his own company which was a dream come true.
As a child, Ryan showed a talent for drums and spent many weekends playing in their family band. He also played drums in Pebblebrook High School’s marching band. This love continued into adulthood when he had many opportunities to play with various gospel singing groups. For over 20 years, he was a dedicated drummer at Celebration Church of God.
A people person who never seemed to meet a stranger, Ryan loved being the life of the party and center of attention. There was little evidence remaining of his struggle to speak as a child and speech therapy classes. In fact, his parents would frequently ask, “will he ever be quiet?”
Even though he recently began suffering from several chronic illnesses, Ryan never lost his zest for life. He lived to spend time with his family and would do anything for his precious grand babies. “Papa” would always have a basket of goodies by his side to share with them.
Ryan’s heart’s desire was to walk again. Although he is missed, we know he is now happy, pain free and completely whole, strolling on streets of gold by the river of life. No doubt, he is catching up with family and friends who have gone before. He has finished his course and has heard well done my child. He is with Jesus forevermore.
