Beverly Kay Johnson, of Woodstock, GA, passed peacefully in her sleep at the age of 85 on July 1, 2025. She was born on September 1, 1939 and grew up in Montevideo, Minnesota with her loving adopted parents Astrid & Len Johnson. She was married to Jon Wilaby (dec. 2021) from 1961 to 1981. She is survived by her only child, Rebecca Jordan, her son-in law, Jeff Jordan, and her two grandchildren, Amanda and Zachary Jordan.
Beverly earned her Masters in Education at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. She taught elementary school students for over 20 years. After moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 1981, she left teaching and perused her passion for photography with Wolf Camera. Beverly was also an avid reader and even volunteered her time at the local women’s prison teaching the inmates how to read.
Beverly was an animal lover and had many dogs throughout her life. Boots (Cocker Spaniel), GiGi and Babette (Poodles), and Fritz (German Shepherd). She also bought her granddaughter Amanda her first pet, a German Shepard named Riley.
