Sharpsburg, GA

Christine Brooks Yawn of Sharpsburg, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026. A devoted mother, grandmother, friend, and woman of steadfast Christian faith, Christine brought kindness, joy, and a gentle spirit to all who were blessed to know her.

Christine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Yawn, and by her parents, Turner Brooks and Doris Boyce.

She is lovingly survived by her children: Jennifer Thompson-Whaley (Derek), Kimberly Carr (Michael), and David Thompson; her stepdaughter, Lois Reece (Tricia); and her siblings Mickie Peacock, Chris Boyce, Todd Boyce, and Mark Boyce. Christine was a proud and devoted grandmother to Austin, Ryan, Colton, Traveler, Peyton, Chayce, and Tyson, each of whom brought tremendous joy to her life.

Christine loved the Lord wholeheartedly and lived her faith through compassion, grace, and the way she cared for others. She found happiness in the simplest blessings—spending time with her beloved dogs, enjoying fellowship with friends and family, bowling, boating, playing games, and delighting in fresh flowers. Her laughter, warmth, and gift for making others feel welcomed and loved made her a true treasure to everyone she encountered.

Her legacy is one of faith, love, resilience, and kindness. Christine will be remembered for her gentle heart and the lasting impact she made by uplifting and embracing those around her.

The family invites friends and loved ones to keep them in prayer during this time of loss. Service arrangements will be shared once finalized, and all who knew Christine are welcome to join in celebrating her beautiful life.
