Daniel Lee Moye

June 3, 1948 — May 2, 2025

Norcross

Daniel Lee Moye passed away peacefully at home after an extended illness. Danny was born to C.H. Moye and Opal Williams Moye on June 3, 1948, in Fort Valley, GA.

He was an avid artist and could draw, paint, and sculpt. His classmates have recalled his drawings dating back to elementary school. Those lucky enough to own a "DAMOYE" consider themselves fortunate.

Danny married Donna Monk Moye on June 30, 1973. After many years of working in the construction business, Danny set his sights on graphic art, and was accepted into Savannah College of Art and Design where he earned his degree in graphic design.

Danny and Donna moved from Savannah, Georgia to Norcross, Georgia after his accomplishments. Years later, he retired from R. E. Monk Interior Trim. In retirement, Danny was restless and resumed his interest in both art and automobiles. He built many model, cars and trucks and received awards and recognition for impeccable work. Danny loved NASCAR and never missed a chance to watch the races and, when he was able, attended in person usually with Royce Monk by his side. Danny loved his family and cherished times spent with all of them.

Daniel Moye was preceded in death by his parents, C.H. Moye and Opal Williams Moye as well as his sister, Katherine Moye.

He is survived by those left to cherish his memory: his wife of 52 years, Donna Monk Moye; sister, Patricia (David) Pecora; brother, Stanley (Peggy) Moye; sister-in-law, Rhonda (Tim) Chapman; brother-in-law Royce (Letricia) Monk and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Late in Danny's life he gave his heart to Jesus Christ and found real joy and peace. Today we have the assurance that he dwells with Jesus in Heaven.
