David Charles Belmont

September 11, 1961 — June 1, 2025

David Charles Belmont, 63 of Hiram, GA passed away on June 1, 2025. Dave was born in Pontiac, Michigan and was the son of the late Kenneth and Jacqueline Belmont. He was preceded in death by his sister Suzanne Trenn. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 22 years, Kathleen DeRosa-Belmont; his daughter, Leigh Washburn; brother, Jonathan Belmont; sister Michele Rooy (Ken); several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dave graduated from Life University in Marietta, GA in December 2001 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and he practiced with his wife in Grand Rapids, Michigan for several years. After relocating to Georgia in 2011, Dave decided to explore his other passion, and started a home remodeling and painting business in 2016. He had many clients, mostly referrals, who all loved his woodworking skills and remodeling expertise. Many considered him to be a part of their family, and all have expressed joy at the humor he brought to work with him.

He also tried his hand at acting in 2015 and had a few extra roles in movie and T.V. productions including “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay” and “Finding Carter” Dave enjoyed being in front of the camera whenever he got the opportunity, but he was a man of many talents. He could make any plant grow and flourish or bring an old car back to life. But perhaps Dave’s best talent was that of comedian, as he made everyone he met laugh or smile.

Dave had a big heart and was a kind soul, always doing more than was expected of him. He would help friends and strangers alike, always leaving them with a smile. Even animals loved him, especially dogs, and he loved them too! Dave was a loving and cherished husband, a caring son and a loving father. He made friends everywhere he went. There is a huge hole in the hearts of all who loved him and the world is a darker place since he left. But we will all be smiling when we remember him and the immeasurable joy he gave us.
