Dianne Huggins Cagle, 84 of Concord, NC, passed away on April 14, 2026, after a period of declining health.
She was born December 11, 1941, in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Vincent W. Huggins and Rosalie Huggins Denny. Dianne was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School, class of 1960, and furthered her education at Campbell College. She was also a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Kannapolis.
Dianne married the love of her life, Donald Ray Cagle Sr., in 1961 and had two children, Kelly and Donny. While Don spent the majority of his career serving our country in the Air Force, she was a dedicated and devoted military wife and mother. During their many moves, she held numerous jobs as an Administrative Assistant at Documation Inc, The State of Alabama Retirement Systems, and Reese Development Inc. In 1988, she and Don retired from the Air Force, and in 2002, they moved back home to Concord, NC, to take care of family and enjoy retirement with friends.
A few of her most passionate interests were drawing, writing poetry, and maintaining her beautiful yard at her home in Concord.
Dianne loved her family dearly and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was truly a source of strength and support for her family in times of need. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Donald Ray Cagle Sr., her brother Vincent W. Huggins Jr (Buddy), and her grandson, Corey Wallace.
She is survived by her children, Kelly Wnuk (Mark) and Donald Ray Cagle, Jr. (Jannae), grandchildren Robby Wallace, Parker Cagle, Logan Cagle, Lily Cagle, and her brother Ken Huggins (Kathryn).
The family would like to thank the staff of Arbor Terrace Acworth for their loving care and support during her time there and especially during her final weeks.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association. Services will be held at a later date.
