Donald Wilbur Kibler passed away on August 25, 2026, just shy of his 80th birthday. He was born to Eva Jean (Hamler) Kibler and Daniel David “Dick” Kibler in Baltimore, Maryland on September 11, 1946.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Doris (Parker) Kibler, his twin brother Ronald Kibler, and younger sister Pat (Kibler) Shick.

As kids in rural Pennsylvania, Don and Ron had many adventures and loved playing with their dog, Rin Tin Tin “Rinny.” After graduating from Brookville High School, Don wore many hats and worked very hard to provide for his family. He served as a respected Elder, Teacher, and Youth Leader at Northside-Gardens church of Christ for many years. Countless souls were touched and led to salvation by his wise words and encouragement.

Don’s favorite thing to do was fly. He was a pilot for 65 years and kept up his license even later in life. After many ups and downs, he was blessed to put his skills at design and woodworking to good use with his twin brother, Ron at their successful furniture design company In View Furniture where he worked for 32 years.

Granddad loved to read and was full of knowledge. We all knew if Granddad was playing games with us, he’d probably win! He was caring, witty, and the hardest working man you could find—for the Lord and for his family and friends.

He will be sorely missed at family gatherings. Especially by his loving daughters, Tara (Kibler) Robinson and Tracy (Kibler) Ogburn. All the grandchildren looked up to him and loved him dearly: Jared Ogburn, Meagan Ogburn, Chistopher Ogburn, Joseph Ogburn, Jace Robinson, Logan Robinson, and Cooper Robinson, down to the great-grandchildren, Penelope and Eleanor. He and Grandma never missed calling on their birthdays to sing to all of them.
