Edna S. Gayle

Edna “Eydie” S. Gayle, 58, of Marietta, GA passed away on February 25, 2026. She was born on February 11, 1968 in Montgomery, AL to William and Mary Sowell. 

Eydie lived in Virginia most of her life where she married her husband Richard Gayle of 25 years and raised her three children. She was a mortgage inspector for over 20 years before she moved back to Georgia to be near her family. Eydie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. 

She is survived by her husband, Richard Gayle; 3 daughters, Kendra Nash-Breeden, Ashlyn Nash and Sydney Gayle; father, William “Bill” Sowell; sister, Traci Sowell and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary “Liz” Sowell.
