Elaine Mary Lape

Elaine M. Lape of Acworth, Georgia, passed away on 4/2/2026. She was born in Rockford, Illinois, and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Dorothy Hornbach. She lived in Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio, before moving to Acworth. She was preceded in death by her brother Bruce Hornbach and her fiancé Danny Epp. Her beloved dog, Mogul, was her companion for many years. She is survived by siblings Robert Hornbach (wife Lin) and Lorraine Hornbach (husband Bill), sister-in-law Connie Hornbach, niece Stephanie Mangini (husband Jim), and great-nephews Jackson and Tucker. Elaine worked long hours as a regional manager for Tyler Technology in Georgia. Travel, gardening, cooking, and baking were the joys of her life. Scattering of her ashes will be at a later date. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Paul’s in Guilford, Indiana, on December 7 at 4:oo pm.
