Elaine Carol Mertz

Elaine Mertz, 85, of Dallas, GA, passed away on October 26, 2025. Born April 1, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Elaine was the daughter of William and Edna Roehling. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob) L. Mertz and brother Raymond Roehling.

A retired CPA from Bucher & Co, Elaine enjoyed tailriding and caring for her horses. She loved her many pets in particular her Dachshunds and many barn cats. She also enjoyed gardening and could make just about anything grow even when it shouldn’t.

She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Parrish (John); granddaughters Devin Belt (Josh), Reagan Lester (Wil), and Eden Parrish; three great-grandchildren, Harper Grace Belt, Sadie Kate Belt, Lakyn Lester, and a baby boy Lester due in January; and her sister-in-law, Sylvia Schimpff (Tom), and brother-in-law, George Mertz.
