Elaine Barbara True, age 59, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on December 22, 2025, after a life filled with love, creativity, and a passion for helping others. She was born on April 19, 1966, in Chillicothe, Ohio, and graduated from Bishop Flaget High School. Elaine carried a warmth that touched everyone who knew her.
Elaine loved animals, especially cats, and found joy in their quiet companionship. She was a prolific artist, with a deep appreciation for abstract painting that reflected her vibrant spirit. She enjoyed bracelet making and cooking, always whipping up new and creative recipes that brought family and friends together around the table.
Above all, Elaine’s children were her world. She was a devoted mother, affectionately called them “my Rock,” and she dedicated herself to supporting and guiding them with boundless love. Her family—daughter Erika True and son Patrick True, along with her sisters, Kim Lamanac and Julie Connely—will remember her as a devoted sister, a gracious aunt, and a friend who made everyone feel seen and valued.
She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the art she created, the meals she shared, and the love she spread every day.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the COPD Foundation in Elaine’s memory, a cause close to her heart.
Funeral arrangements and a celebration of Elaine’s life will be announced by her family at a later date.
