Frank Flint Cowart, age 74 of Fayetteville, Georgia passed away July 1, 2025.

Frank was born January 21st 1951 at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up in the Spring Lake Community of Atlanta where he resided until 2012 before moving to Fayetteville, GA.

Frank attended Morris Brandon Elementary, Northside High School class of 1969 and the University of Georgia. Frank had several jobs throughout his life including, Terminix Pest Control and the Buckhead Pool Hall. In his parents’ later years, he was a dedicated caregiver to them.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Davis Cowart Sr. and Geraldine Fuller Cowart and his brother, Joe Davis (Jack) Cowart, Jr. He is survived by his brother, Charles Felton Cowart and wife Pamela Ann Cowart of Canton GA.; two nephews, Justin Cowart (wife-Laura) of Mountain Brook AL and William Cowart (wife-Jamie) of Canton, GA; along with three grand nieces, Frances and Virginia Cowart of Mountain Brook, AL. and Emersyn Cowart of Canton, GA.

One of Frank's favorite accomplishments was managing and playing for his Briar Patch softball team and winning the 1980 City of Atlanta Slow Pitch Tournament Championship. He received a six-foot trophy that he proudly told people about and displayed in his home until his passing. He also enjoyed Georgia Bulldogs football, Atlanta Braves Baseball and competing in pool, darts and arcade games.

Frank will be laid to rest next to his parents at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, GA.

The Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th at 11:00, Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt. Vernon Hwy N.W., Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
