Frank Michael Kinsey Jr.

March 13, 1958 — May 6, 2026

Frank Michael Kinsey, known as "Mickey", Age 68, of Acworth/Marietta, Georgia passed away suddenly and with no pain on May 6, 2026.

Born in New York City on March 13, 1958. Mickey was raised an only child by his wonderful and loving mother, raised and surrounded with love by his grandmother and grandfather, aunts, uncles and grew up with many cousins. He began what would become his lifelong career as an Artisan Butcher at a young age working in the neighborhood meat and grocery shop. At age 16, Mickey and his mother moved to the Atlanta metro area, where he went to and graduated high school at North Springs High, continued his career in the meat industry, made many, many friends, met his wife of almost 40 years and lived the rest of his life here in the Marietta/Acworth, GA area.

Mickey was truly the epitome of a good man, through and through. He lived his life and worked hard with honesty, integrity and decency. Mickey made friends easily and helped many people throughout his life that were going through a bad time, often hiring people that others would not give a chance. He was a good friend to many who he knew or worked with, like a son or brother to others, and was the best, most fiercely loving and loyal husband ever. His exuberance and large presence will be missed forever. His passing has left a big hole in the lives of everyone who knew and loved him. These last few years were hard on him, but he always kept the faith, was brave, tried to stay positive and tried to be there for everyone as much as he could. He was amazing.

Mick loved to play the rhythm guitar, most passionate when playing with his cousin Pete on drums, just the two of them, and with his late dear friend Rick on lead guitar - "The Stew" and later on with friend Dave on bass. They were "The Original Formula". He was crazy about the Rolling Stones, self proclaimed (often agreed with) best band in the world and his favorite band of all time. Keith is The Man!

Mickey "Boo" leaves behind his soul mate and forever loving wife Frances, her mom and dad in-laws Wolfgang and Susanne, whom he cared for so much, his Aunt Molly and Aunt Brenda that he loved as second moms and best friends, Uncle Marvin, he loved you as a father, Cousin Pete and John whom he loved as brothers, Cousin Tracy and Brenda, he loved you as sisters. Catherine, Jonathan and Heather, he loved you all. Mickey loved and cared about all his cousins, as well as his cousins chidren. Mickey recently united with half sister, Kathy Avelin, who he immediately connected with in mind and spirit, your connection was truly amazing and you always had a special place in his heart. Kevin Cook, long time best friend and spirit brother, you were always there for each other and he loved you very, very much.

He was proud of his Irish ancestry and has joined his "Maw" Patricia, his dear Grandmother Mary, Grandfather Peter, and his Aunt Michelle.

Mickey loved animals, especially his dogs, fur babies Heidi and Bailey. He absolutely adored them and all the dogs and cats he shared his life with as family. "Heidi-Ho" and "Bailey-Man" miss him very much.

There will be private gatherings in his honor in Georgia and North Carolina, and later his ashes will be laid to rest in a special place with his Mom's.

"May the wind always be at your back, and Bird of Paradise fly in your backyard"
