Jacqueline Evanko (Jackie), age 84, passed away peacefully at home on January 25, 2026, in Roswell, Georgia.
Born on April 13, 1941, in Chillicothe, Ohio, Jackie was the daughter of Jack and Louella Zody, sister to Nila. She spent her youth and early years in Chillicothe, Ohio, and northern Kentucky where she formed memories and relationships that stayed close to her heart.
Jackie had a deep love for animals, especially her pets—Mandy, Mikey, Allie, Spike, JoJo, and Molly—who brought her constant companionship and joy. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Robert Duffy (Angelique), and her cherished granddaughter, Chelsea, her parents and sister.
Jackie is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Michael Evanko; her daughter, Jody West (Bill Moore); her stepdaughters, Julie Eck (Tim) and Jill Green; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many extended family members who will miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Roswell on Sunday, February 15, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Inverness Clubhouse, 2072 Azalea Drive. A separate Celebration of Life for members of the extended family will be held in Cleveland, Ohio, at a later date to be announced. Both ceremonies will be casual dress.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests donations be made to Mini Mutts in honor of Jackie and her beloved dog, Molly. Online donations are accepted at Mini Mutts or via PayPal using the email nels44077@yahoo.com.
Jackie’s legacy lives on through the love she shared. She will be remembered always with affection and gratitude.
