James Russell Nichols

Mr. James Russell Nichols, age 89 of Gainesville, GA passed away at his home on Aug. 26, 2025. He was born Jan. 2, 1936 in Hammond, Ind. where while in high school, he met his life long love and our mother Irene Nichols (predeceased). He relocated his family to Georgia in 1974 and settled in Stone Mountain.  He is survived by their children daughter Gayle (Ed Eachus) of Douglasville, sons James “Michael” of Kona, HI, Joseph and wife Diana of Ellijay and Thomas (predeceased) with two grandchildren Tomi Nichols-Harris (Zack) of Statham and James Gordon Nichols of Thomaston, and two great grandchildren Eli and Eva Harris of Statham.  In accordance with the wishes of our father, there will be no funeral service.
