Jerry Ned Ratliff, 84, of Woodstock, GA passed away on November 5, 2022.
He was born October 7, 1938 in Linneus, MO and was the son of Ned & Ruth Ratliff.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Rinkenberger, 7 children, Jimmy Ned, Shane, Shawn, Leticia, Christopher, Jerry Jr, and Susan.
Jerry spent his early years in Long Beach, California. The family moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1949 where he attended high school and spent his teenage years. On New Year’s Eve of 1957… in a horrible snow storm… his family moved to Denver, Colorado. Jerry and his father enjoyed many many years in the heating and air conditioning business. Together they started their own company in Westminster, Colorado, Automatic Heating & Air Conditioning. Jerry’s dad named the company that because it was back in the day when we all used the Yellow Pages and he said the “A” would appear first when searching for a heating company. That was a laugh that the family always shared. Jerry spent approximately the next 30 years in the Denver area raising his family. In 1987, Jerry, along with the absolute LOVE of his life, Beverly, and his grown children, moved to Georgia. He continued to be very successful in the heating and air conditioning business in Georgia along with his son and other members of his family.
Jerry was a loving husband and father, and grandfather and he will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Beverly, a sister Roxie Pachelo, Brighton, Colorado, 3 bother-in-laws, Ralph Switzer, Las Vegas, Nevada, Keith (Betty) Switzer, Kearney, Missouri, Westley Switzer, Porter, Oklahoma, a daughter, Kimberly (Robert) Seaman, Grantville, Georgia, Son-In-law, Steven Haar, Woodstock, GA, Daughter-In-Law, Gail Ratliff, Woodstock Georgia,. 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 4:00 P.M. at St. Andrew United Methodist church, 3455 Canton Road, Marietta, GA 30066.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
