John Aubrey Strickland

John “Johnny” Aubrey Strickland, age 74, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on March 26th, 2022.

He was born on November 18th, 1947, in Douglasville, GA.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Cotton Strickland of Collinsville, AL; his father, John Watson Strickland of Douglasville, GA; his father-in-law, Buford Harden; and his son-in-law, Roy Lee Poole Jr.

Johnny was a family man. He loved playing the guitar and riding his motorcycles to beautiful places near and far. He was a retired Teamster. He will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Harden Strickland; daughter, Lisa Strickland Poole; son, Eric Strickland; granddaughter, Elizabeth Strickland; grandsons, Dustin Strickland and Dakota Poole; great-grandsons, Benjamin L Strickland-Priest and John M Strickland; sister, Carol Strickland Holloway; mother-in-law, Elsie Harden, and nephews.

Per his request, he was cremated. A celebration of life was held at Sweetwater State Park in Lithia Springs, GA, on April 9th, 2022.
