Joseph Karl Winston, Sr.

Joseph Karl Winston Sr. was born on July 7, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois. He attended DuSable High School and later continued his education at Western Illinois University before graduating from Massey College in Atlanta, Georgia.

Joseph proudly served his country as a United States Navy veteran, with service in Japan and Washington State. Following his military service, he built a long and dedicated career with the United States Postal Service, where he worked as a letter carrier until his retirement.

A devoted family man, Joseph was married to his beloved wife for over 47 years. He deeply cherished his family and found great joy in spending time with them. He especially loved cycling, fishing, football & basketball.

Joseph is survived by his wife; his two adult children; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; his brother; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. His legacy of dedication, love, and service will be remembered by all.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph’s memory to the American Cancer Society

Aligning with Joseph’s wishes, the family will honor his request for cremation.
