Kenneth Howard Jones

June 23, 1950 — February 19, 2026

Kenneth Howard Jones at the age of 75 located in Lithia Springs, GA crossed over to be with the ancestors on 2/19/26.

Kenneth was born In Pittsburgh, PA in the neighborhood of Hazelwood and was the son of the late Theodore C Jones And Celeste Jones.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents William E Jones and Nancy Jones.

He graduated from high school, attended Pittsburgh Technical Institution and served in the Army in his early twenties as a photographer. His hobbies were fishing, crossword puzzles, watching crime and sci fi movies, listening to jazz music and a good cup of his favorite coffee, muffins or bundt cake in the mornings. He was a man's man and took pride in changing tires, fixing his children's cars and grocery shopping at Sam's Club. He was a movie buff and his favorite actors were Denzel Washington, Robert Deniro and Al Pacino. He spent over 30 years working for the United States Postal Service where he later retired.

My father was a strong, highly respected, well educated, enlightened and the most intelligent human being I've ever met. He taught his children from a young age about African American history and where their lineage came from. He introduced his love of music to his kids at a very young age always playing Anita Baker, Marvin Gaye and Sade. He had all of his children involved in sports such as basketball, swimming and soccer throughout their younger years. He was involved in every aspect of their lives and never missed a graduation, soccer practice or a swim meet. He provided financially and was no stranger to handling his responsibilities like a true boss. He moved his family from Pittsburgh, PA to Orlando, FL for a better life filled with sunshine, laughter and many adventures. He was the epitome of a boss and a true king. He was a leader and a true role model. There was not one day that he spent away from his family. He provided his children with lavish Christmas holidays, birthday parties, annual trips to Disney World, lavish homes he took pride in providing. He was the definition of a provider, protector and problem solver until his last day on this side of the veil. He was a no nonsense type of man that expected strength and follow through from every man around him. He was an advocate for all, spoke his mind, stood on his beliefs and carried an authoritative presence that was felt in every room he entered. He always knew how to break the ice in conversations which was a part of his witty personality. All of his immediate and extended family remembers him as " Uncle Kenny was always at work and providing a beautiful life for his wife and kids."

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 40 years Linda Ann Wilson Jones; 4 children Nathan Ryan Jones, Monique LaRae Wilson, Chloe Marie Jones and Alexa Jones; and 5 grandchildren Elijah, Noah, Ajani Reign, Heavenly, Yannis.

He will have a private service where his family will honor and pay their last respects in the home where they resided for over 15 years.

" Your dad is not always going to be here so you have to learn to be strong on your own and handle business." (Kenny's reminder to his kids)

"Thank you for instilling pride, strength, power, history and intelligence in my heart, mind and soul. You were my king, the first love of my life, and my hero. My father was the most intelligent person Ive ever met and knew the answer to every question I ever asked. His legacy will live on and he will never be forgotten. I will continue to honor his name as he is now amongst the realm of the ancestors. I will make you proud daddy, you no longer have to worry about any of us, I love you!" (Chloe Marie Jones, second eldest daughter)

"Kenny was the perfect faithful, devoted husband, strong protector, provider and would give you the shirt of his back. he raised me from the young age of 23 paid for my education and bought me my first sports car. He was present for the births of all my children and was very much hands on from day one of me giving birth to my first baby. Until his last day he always spoke of my children's birth stories and remembered every detail of their lives. When they were infants he would he use his military experience my kids were healthy and strong while sleeping by monitoring their sleeping while breathing. He raised me taught me how to be a mature woman and my family loved him. The Berger family welcomed him with open arms and treated him like their own blood. He would go fishing and hunting with Uncle Jimmy and Uncle Harvey. My mother Emma Jean adored him and was happy before she departed that I was with a man that raise the family he created with me." (Linda Jones, wife)

"My dad was the true definition and epitome of a strong black man who put his children before himself. Up until his last breath his kids were his motivation to keep fighting. His kids were his motivation to keep fighting and striving in life. He was so proud to help us break barriers throughout life and his greatest accomplishment was teaching us how to swim recreationally and professionally. Despite him working a strenuous job at the Post Office he always found time to be there in the most important moments and making his presence known. He was always there to uplift and help us despite his own feelings and never let us see him in a weak, vulnerable state. To know that he is no longer in pain and with the ancestors and looking down me, that helps get me peace to get through this hard time." (Alexa Jones, youngest daughter)
