In Loving Memory of
Kim Ann Densmore Atkinson
Born May 14, 1958
Passed peacefully on the morning of April 15, 2025
Fiercely independent and never one to shy away from speaking her mind, Kim was a woman of immense strength, unwavering spirit, and a heart full of love.
She is preceded in death by her father, Richard O. Densmore, and her brother, Brian R. Densmore.
Kim leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Chris Collett, and her beloved grandchildren, David and Olivia, all of Jasper, GA. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Densmore of Blairsville, GA; her mother and stepfather, Corrine and John Wheeler of Deltona, FL; and her brothers, Jerry and John Wheeler. Many cousins, nieces, and nephews also mourn her passing.
Kim loved deeply—her family, her dogs, a glass of wine, a good book, and music that stirred the soul. She had a gift for making holidays and celebrations magical, with her beautiful decorations and thoughtful touches that made every gathering feel special.
Throughout her life, Kim was a devoted mother, proud grandmother, loyal sister, loving daughter, Girl Scout leader, school volunteer, and business owner. In the early 2000s, she fulfilled a dream by opening her own bookstore a cozy space that reflected her love for reading and sharing stories. Before illness made it difficult, she also found joy in gardening and flowers.
She will be missed more than words can express.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
