Kirby John "KJ" Eldridge

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kirby John Eldridge (KJ), 45, of Douglasville, Georgia, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on February 16, 1981, in Watertown, New York, to Kirby E. Eldridge and Carol A. Eldridge (Delles), KJ was raised in a military family and lived in many parts of the country before settling in Hephzibah, Georgia, where he graduated from Hephzibah High School in 1999.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a nuclear power engineer aboard the USS Nimitz & USS Eisenhower. After completing his military service, he earned a Bachelor's degree in History from Augusta University.

KJ is survived by his devoted wife, Sujmil "Mia" Eldridge, whom he married on July 12, 2015, and their three children, Justin, Arwen, and Lila. He is also survived by his brother, Bronson Eldridge (Laura); his sister, Sarah Green; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless close friends.

A gifted artist, self-published author, Actor, comic creator of The Other Worlds of KJ EldridgeTM & Co-Owner of Lunarverse. KJ spent countless hours bringing stories and characters to life. Whether writing, drawing, or traveling to comic conventions, he found joy in sharing his imagination and inspiring others through his creativity.

KJ also had a lifelong love of sports. He played for the Augusta Men's Lacrosse Team, coached youth lacrosse, and remained a loyal fan of the New York Knicks, New York Giants, New York Mets, and Florida State Seminoles.

The story of KJ's life doesn't end here. It lives on in the family he adored, the friends he cherished, the stories he created, the artwork he shared, and the countless lives he touched. Though he will be deeply missed every day, his love, laughter, and spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him.
