We are saddened to announce the passing of Lillie Edwards, born February 23, 1940, who fell asleep in death on May 17, 2026, at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice Center. Lillie was the oldest of 11 children born to Henry Clyde Edwards and Aslee Dickenson Edwards. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Marvin and Mittford, and her sister, Carolyn.

She was a faithful Jehovah's Witness who dedicated her life to helping others learn about the Bible and its many wonderful promises, one of which she will soon receive, and to sharing the hope found in God's Word. Lillie also found joy in word search puzzles, popping bubble wrap, watching the Weather Channel ALL day, riding in anyone’s vehicle, listening to Lou Rawls and BB King, and expressing herself through her love for her large family and friends.

Lillie leaves behind seven sisters, Gladys, Eva, Amanda, Etta (Rufus), Rosa, Juanita, and Glinda, who love her dearly. She was a devoted and loving mother to Lisa CaShay Brown, Rita Michelle Hinton, Karen Renia Bonner, and Richard Lee Mills Jr. She was also a cherished grandmother to Veneishia Mills, Tamika Mills, Kei’Andre Brown, Leandre Brown, Shane Hinton, Corderro Brown, and Cassie Hinton. She was also loved by three great-grandchildren, Gavyn Isley Brown, Ki’Zariah & Mariyah Hinton, and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her so much.

She will be remembered for her faith, kindness, and devotion to her family and to Jehovah.

Her Memorial Service will be at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 77 Somerset Drive, Dallas, GA 30132.
