Lithia Springs, GA

With deep love and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda S. Snoddy, who entered eternal rest on May 19, 2026, at the age of 76.

Born on January 13, 1950, to David and Margie Dright, Linda S. Snoddy was raised in Phoenix, Illinois. She earned her associate degree and dedicated many years of service as an Administrative Assistant with IBM, where she later retired.

Linda was a strong, independent, and caring woman whose life centered around family, perseverance, and unconditional love. She was formerly married to Larry Snoddy, with whom she shared four children—Larry, LeVal, Lemont, and Lolanya. Though their marriage later ended, they remained connected through the family they created together.

She is lovingly remembered by her children and grandchildren, Holly, Nya, Nolan, and LeVan, along with her siblings Jacqueline, Lela, Ola, Margie Lynn, Davelyn, and Marion, as well as many extended family members and friends whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Diane, Priscilla, Franklyn, and John; and, more recently, by her beloved nephews David, Matthew, and Anthony Jr., whose passing brought sorrow to the family.

To those who knew her best, Linda was a source of strength, wisdom, and encouragement. She shared an especially close and meaningful bond with her daughter, Lolanya, and grandchildren, Nya and Nolan, with whom she shared daily life, love, and guidance over many years. She helped raise and nurture them, creating memories and bonds that extended far beyond the traditional role of grandmother.

Linda treasured life’s simple moments, especially time spent with loved ones, sharing movies, laughter, and conversation. She was known for her encouragement, unwavering support, and ability to remind those around her to keep moving forward with strength and hope. Her presence brought comfort and lasting memories to those fortunate enough to know her.

Linda leaves behind a legacy of resilience, determination, and enduring love. Her memory will continue to live on through the lives she helped shape and the family she loved in her own steadfast way.

A private family service will be held in Georgia for close loved ones. A larger celebration of Linda’s life will be held in Illinois this summer, with additional arrangements to be shared with family at a later date.

Though deeply missed, Linda’s love, strength, and spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
