Today, we gather to celebrate the life of our beloved Aunt, Lizabeth Jo “Beth” Stanley (December 29, 1941 — February 19, 2026).
The youngest child of Joseph Orville Stanley and Louise Elizabeth “Boogie” Grady Stanley, and loving sister to Lillian Gale Stanley Grainger, Beth was devoted to her family. She leaves behind five nieces — Lisa, Lori, Lana, Lesli, and Lynda — along with many great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom she loved deeply.
Standing just 4 feet 11 inches tall, Beth was a little blonde spitfire with a contagious laugh we all remember from growing up — a laugh that could fill a room and brighten any day.
She worked as a medical secretary in Decatur and took pride in being organized and dependable. She had an extraordinary memory for birthdays, anniversaries, presidents, and family history — a true keeper of details and connections.
Beth enjoyed rides through Atlanta, listening to Elvis Presley and Mac Davis, crocheting delicate Barbie doll clothes, and chatting on her CB radio — sometimes playfully flirting with members of the local police department.
Her love was steady, her spirit was strong, and her presence will remain in our hearts forever.
Aunt Beth, you are now home with the Lord, and we will carry you with us always.
With love,
Lisa, Lori, Lana, Lesli, and Lynda
and all the family 🤍
