Mary Elizabeth Bolton

Mary Elizabeth Bolton, 63, of Decatur, Alabama (formerly of Locust Grove, Georgia) went to heaven on April 19, 2026.  She was born January 15, 1963 in Monroe, Georgia and was the daughter of the late John Mahlon Bolton and Mary Rachel Bolton. 

Liz graduated from Monroe Area High School in 1982.  She later went on to teach pre-school at Heritage Baptist Church for 10 years.  She had a passion for caring for children and teaching them the love of Jesus.  She was a loving mother and grandmother and the world will always be a little darker without her. 

She was preceded in death by Ned Bolton, Patricia Chamlee and Claude Chamlee and is survived by her son, Joshua Bolton (Morgan Latham); granddaughter, Oakleigh Bolton; brother, David Bolton; nieces and nephews, Susan Sullivan (Scott Sullivan), Nicole Nichols, Paisley Nichols, Owen Nichols, Michael Stevenson and Chris Holder (Angela Holder).
