Mary Lou DavisJuly 23, 1952 - October 1, 2026, Mary Lou Davis (formerly Rippstine), age 74, of Norcross, Georgia, passed away on October 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Mary was born on July 23, 1952, in Rio Pierdas, Puerto Rico, to the late Diego Vasquez and Mary Hernandez. She later made her way to Saginaw, Michigan and graduated from Saginaw High School in 1970. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She cherished spending time with her family and friends. Mary was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on September 8, 1974, and faithfully served Jehovah for more than five decades. Mary deeply loved serving Jehovah and faithfully enjoyed going out in field service and sharing the good news of God’s Kingdom with others. In fact, Mary had the privilege of serving as a regular pioneer for well over 20 years. The lifesaving ministry she was involved in was the purpose and greatest joy of her life. She had the privilege of aiding 23 individuals to come to know and love our great God Jehovah.
Mary loved baking her famous pumpkin bread and brownies to share with friends and family and was known far and wide for her delicious enchiladas. She enjoyed shopping, especially at Goodwill, creating memories with loved ones, and spending time with her beloved dog, Chico. A devoted animal lover, Mary rarely missed a dog movie and could often be found watching them on Netflix or wherever she could find them.
Mary was preceded in death by her late husband, Eduardo Rippstine, her parents, Diego & Mary Vasquez, her son Alexandro Rippstine and her sister, Linda Rangel.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Kenneth Davis, daughters, Dominga (John) Vasquez, Maria (Kevin) Alexander and; sister, Migdalia (Nemecio) Lopez; brother, Albert (Pam) Vasquez; her sister and dear friend, Olivia (Dwayne) Bivens; grandsons, Ricardo Pena, Jonathan and Dionicio Vasquez; as well as extended family members, and many very special friends. Mary’s love extended far beyond her immediate family. To many, she was like a mother, grandmother, and sister. She had a way of making people feel like family, and the love she shared with so many will never be forgotten.Mary's presence brought love, laughter, and joy to those around her, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. While her loss is deeply felt, her family and friends find comfort in the hope that Mary cherished so dearly: God's promise of a resurrection to perfect life in the new world foretold in the Scriptures. (John 5:28-29)
