Matthew “Matt” Wade Hardeman, 66, of Kennesaw, Georgia, arrived in heaven November 3, 2026, while surrounded by his family. Matt was born July 31,1960 to the late W. Leon and Susan (Adams) Hardeman of Atlanta, Georgia. Matt was preceded in death by his sister, Lynn, and his brothers, David and Richard.
Matt committed his life to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in 1986. While Matt was worshiping at his home church, he met the soon-to-be Mrs. Hardeman. God blessed Matt and Caroline (Brady) with 39 years of loving marriage.
Matt’s life was defined by his devotion to his Creator and family, loyal friendships, and joy of adventure. As an avid hiker and ‘hidey hole’ discoverer, Matt’s curious spirit led him through many ‘nooks and crannies’ long forgotten by others.
Matt dedicated 44 years to UPS and developed several lifelong friendships among his coworkers. An introspective man with a quiet demeanor, Matt loved his friends and family fiercely. Matt enjoyed being prepared for all of life’s journeys, though he found the greatest joy in life’s simple pleasures: sitting on a swing, observing God’s creation, enjoying an ice-cold glass of milk, piddlin’ round the house, and caring for those he loved.
Matt will be remembered for his genuine love, steadfast spirit, quiet strength, and wise counsel. His selfless generosity brought countless people to Christ worldwide.
Matt is survived by his wife, Caroline, and children, Tim (Margie) and Elizabeth Easley (Brinton).
A private celebration of life will be held November 13, 2026, with Rev. Brinton Easley officiating. In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations honoring Matt’s dedication to:
