Merry Noel Knowlton

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Merry Noel Knowlton, on July 23, 2025, from cancer. 

Merry was born December 25, 1963 to Charles and Nadine Knowlton in Barnesville, Ohio.  Merry moved around the state many times with her family throughout her childhood.  When Merry was a young teenager the family moved to Pasadena, California, her favorite place, where she attended high school and then college.  

After college she moved to Florida where she worked in various careers from insurance to retail.  Merry eventually moved back to Ohio and became a corporate flight attendant.  She worked several years for the Columbus Blue Jackets, NetJets, and other private companies.  She was able to travel the world meeting notable people from all walks of society. 

In 2019, Merry moved with her mother to Marietta, Georgia, to be closer to family.  Merry loved her home and neighborhood and shared her love of nature with several close neighbors.

 Her dear friends all over the country are deeply saddened over losing Merry so suddenly.  She leaves behind her sisters, Sherry Palmer and Charla Shallenberger and brother, Brent Knowlton.  Nieces Kari Palmer, Krissy Palmer, Kelli, (Jason) Alati and Rachel Knowlton.  Nephews Andrew Shallenberger, Ryan, (Rachel) Shallenberger, William, (Kathryn) Shallenberger and Andrew Hezemy. 

A celebration of Merry's life will be held at a future time to be announced.
