Remembering Paige

Sunday, February 1, 2026 – we lost an energetic, passionate, Jesus-loving, gift-giving, and completely goofy girl. Paige Taylor Smith was then welcomed into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Paige was born on September 8, 2006, in Rowlett, Texas. She spent the first 10 years of her life living in Texas and has resided in Kennesaw, Georgia since 2016. Paige is survived by her parents, Trooper and Jami Smith; Siblings: Parker, Peyton, and Presley Smith; Grandparents: Virginia Burnette and Carey and Ronda Leech; Aunts and Uncles: Cindy Wiktor, Larry and Cheryl Patterson, Kevin and Leslie Brown, Mark Leech, and Johnnie Simpson; and Cousins: Ashlee, Brandon, Campbell, and Conrad Carter; Samantha Wiktor; Jamie and Willie Patterson; Tatum Wells; and Avril, Dashil, and Luke Brown.

Paige accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at a young age. Paige graduated from Harrison High School in May 2025. Since high school, she pursued her love of baking by working in the café at Nature’s Corner Market. There she was able to fill her heart’s desire, baking and creating healthy meals for others.

Throughout her life, she struggled with depression and anxiety. By God’s grace, in May of 2025, Paige had a rock-bottom experience. God used this experience, like the parable of the lost sheep (Matthew 18:12-15), to pursue her and bring her back to Him. Since then, Paige enthusiastically transformed her life to live for Jesus daily as her Lord and Savior. As Paige said, she was “All for Jesus!” Those who saw Paige since May KNEW she loved Jesus because she could not keep quiet about Him. She changed her language, habits, dress, and desires to be more aligned with Christ daily. She evangelized daily and became one of the most obedient Christians we have ever been around which allowed God to bring amazing changes to our family, this church, and our community. These changes are continuing to stir people increasingly over this past week and we know God will continue to change more people in significant ways as we head into the future. Thank you Paige and thank you Jesus for making her Our Hero!

Paige, we love and will truly miss all your goofy faces, silly noises, passion for thrifting, and LOVE for Jesus.

12 “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? 13 And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. 14 In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.” – Matthew 18:12-14 NIV
