Pamela M. Barker

November 8, 1981 — June 22, 2025

Canton, GA

Pamela M. Barker (Collins), 43, of Canton, Georgia, was called home to the Lord on June 22, 2025. Born on November 8, 1981, in Temple, Texas, to Thomas and Rita Collins, Pamela grew up in a proud military family, experiencing the blessings of travel throughout the United States and Europe. From an early age, she embraced the spirit of service, learning to place the needs of others above her own—an enduring virtue she carried throughout her life.

In 1997, her family settled in Georgia, where Pamela became an active member of the youth ministry at Transfiguration Catholic Church. It was there she built lasting friendships, including with her future husband, Wesley Barker. Pamela and Wes were married in December 2004 and spent the early years of their marriage in Illinois and North Carolina during Wes’s service in the U.S. Navy. The couple returned to Georgia in 2011, where they would continue building a life rooted in love, family, and faith. Pamela’s greatest joy was being a mother to their son, Wesley Barker VI, born in 2009.

Her heart and soul were as radiant as her ever-present smile. She had a deep and selfless passion for helping others, especially children with special needs. She devoted her time to causes close to her heart, including volunteering with Bert’s Big Adventure and fostering dogs in need of loving homes. Pamela also thought in the Transfiguration BRIGHT program.

A devoted fan of the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs, Pamela found joy in cheering on her teams, especially when surrounded by the people she loved. She will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter and sister, beloved niece, cousin, aunt, and loyal friend. To know Pamela was to love her—and her warmth, laughter, and kindness will be missed beyond measure.

Pamela is survived by her husband, Wesley L. Barker V; her son, Wesley L. Barker VI; her parents, Tom and Rita Collins; her brother, Tommy Collins; her beloved dogs, Marley and Sara; and a wide circle of extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Pamela’s memory to Bert’s Big Adventure.
