Peter Ray Lewis, 70, of Douglasville, Georgia, was welcomed home by his Lord and Savior on August 12, 2026. Born December 23, 1955, Peter lived a life marked by faith, family, and quiet generosity.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Wesley Edwin A. and Frances Ann Lewis.

An architect and builder by trade, Peter had a gift for turning houses into homes and gave his time freely to anyone in need of a helping hand. A devoted Christian, he lived his faith most visibly through the loving care he gave his wife, Thessa, whose comfort was his daily mission. He also had a tender love for dogs and delighted in finding puppies for others to cherish.

Peter is survived by his devoted wife, Thessa Lewis, and his siblings: Desiree, Dawn, Wesley, Fabian, Bridget, Richard, and Bernadette. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Andre, Tiffany, Christopher, Alissa, Sean, Ashley, Arel, Wesley, Mark, Angela, Paul, Jason, Lauren, Leeann, and Joshua, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.

A service celebrating Peter’s life was held on August 17, 2026. Though his hands have laid down their tools, the homes he built and the love he shared remain. Rest well, Peter—a life so faithfully lived is a life beautifully finished.
