Richard Douglas Deason

Richard Douglas Deason, 73, of Acworth, GA, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born June 1, 1952, in Los Angeles, CA, and was the son of William Deason Sr. and Nellie Ruth Krohn. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Tammy. Richard is greatly missed and was a loving husband, father, and hampa.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda; his son, Brian (Christy); his daughter, Megan; and his grandchildren, Brianna, Dylan, and Emma. He is also survived by his brothers, Sparky and James, and his sisters, Dee, Kristy, and Kandee, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Richard was an avid reader who loved traveling, especially cruising, trips to the Great Smoky Mountains, along with riding his motorcycle and spending time with family.
