Richard Dean Kilgore entered the gates of heaven on May 30, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Kilgore. He is also survived by daughter, Charlotte Kilgore, Huntsville Alabama; stepchildren: Gerald McAllister, Scottsboro, Alabama; Dawn (Kenny) Gilmore, Big Canoe, Georgia; Doug (Heidi) Crismore, Virginia Beach, Virginia. He leaves five grandchildren: Cameron Kilgore, Cole Kilgore, Hannah Crismore, Benjamin Crismore, and Kyle Gilmore; brother Ronnie (Linda) Fisher of Little Rock Arkansas, and sister, Caroline (Kelly) Elam, of Aberdean, Mississippi. Richard was preceded in death by parents Aurther Richard Kilgore and Iris White Kilgore, brother James Kilgore, and sister Betty McElrath.

Richard loved the Lord and His Word. He served as a Sunday School teacher for many years at First Baptist Church of Alabaster, Alabama before moving to Georgia in 2020. He was a member of Foothills Community Church in Marble Hill, Georgia where he taught Sunday School and was ordained an Elder. Most of Richard’s professional life involved selling building materials for many companies and manufacturers.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Foothills Community Church, 13724 Highway 53, Marble Hill, Georgia 30148, at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, June 29, 2025. The family will receive visitors at the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
