Robert “Bob” Parry, 83, passed away unexpectedly on September 27, 2025. He was born on February 16, 1942, in Longview, WA, to Robert Roy and Florence Johanna Parry. Bob was raised in Milwaukie, OR, and attended Milwaukie High School, where he received a baseball scholarship to Brigham Young University. He later graduated from Portland State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. It was there that he met his wife of 63 years, Carol (Richen) Parry.
Bob chose a career in human resource management and investigations, working for multiple companies over the course of forty years. In retirement, he worked at St. Marlo Country Club as a starter several days a week. Bob grew up with a love for golf and thoroughly enjoyed the game.He developed his passion for golf at a very young age, following in the footsteps of his grandfather and father. Many years were spent on the greens at Eastmoreland Golf Course in Portland, OR.
Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. The love and support he showed his family were beyond measure. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Bob will be forever missed.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; his daughters, Laurie Weldon and Erin Collins; son-in-law,Bill Collins; his four grandchildren, Austin Weldon, Hannah Weldon, MacKenzie Collins, and Chloe Collins; and his great-grandchild, Christopher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Florence Parry; his sister, Joanne Lisac; and his brother, John Parry.
A celebration of life will be arranged at a later date.
