Scott William Schlender

Scott W. Schlender, 66, Alpharetta, GA, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

Scott was born September 1, 1959, in Jamestown, ND to Bill and Donna (Mellum) Schlender. He was the second child of four. Scott graduated from Jamestown High School. He attended NDSU and received his engineering degree. Scott worked at UPS for over 40 years; he started while attending college sorting packages and worked his way up to Director. He married Sharilyn Berg in 1989 and raised two daughters, in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Scott enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing golf. He vacationed with his fun-loving extended family each summer at the lakes in Minnesota and took biweekly trips with his daughters for fun adventures and “hoteling”. He was a devoted father, industrious worker, and beloved friend.

Scott will be missed by his children, Jessica Schlender, Atlanta, GA, and Alexa Schlender, Alpharetta, GA. He was loved by his siblings, Linda Urbanik and her husband Jim Urbanik, David Schlender, and Lori Wiese and her husband Mark Wiese, his special friend Carol Sundberg, and his many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews, and good friends.
