Sharon Ann Shafer

October 15, 1947 — August 5, 2025

Dallas

With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life so beautifully lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Sharon Shafer on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the age of 77. Surrounded by the love of her family, Sharon left this world just as she lived in it, gracefully, generously, and deeply loved.

Born on October 15, 1947, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Sharon was the cherished daughter of Mike and Betty Silvers. From an early age, she possessed a quiet strength, a nurturing spirit, and a joyful heart; qualities that would come to define her life and the legacy she leaves behind.

Sharon was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her loving daughters, DeLisa (John and Emma) and Christie, and her four granddaughters, each of whom adored her deeply, Christina (Christopher), Lauren (Chandler), Ansley, and Trinity. She is also lovingly remembered by her mother Betty, her brother Jeff (Vickie), and many extended family members and friends who were blessed by her kindness and warmth.

She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Mike Silvers and her sister, Donna, both of whom she now joins in eternal peace.

To know Sharon was to know unconditional love. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel seen and valued, always ready with a listening ear, a thoughtful word, or a gentle hug. Her laugh was contagious, her presence comforting, and her home a place where all felt welcome.

To her granddaughters, she was lovingly known as Mimi, a name that came to represent joy, safety, wisdom, and endless affection. She took immeasurable pride in her family and poured her heart into every role she held, never missing an opportunity to show her love through both her words and her actions.

Though her absence leaves a space that can never be filled, her memory is a constant light in our lives. Her love will continue to live on in the way we care for others, celebrate family, and cherish every small, meaningful moment.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Trinity Hospice for the compassionate care and support they provided to Sharon and our family during the final chapter of her life.

A Celebration of Life honoring Sharon will be held on Sunday, August 17th, at the Butterfly Pavilion in Acworth, Georgia, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. All who knew and loved Sharon are warmly invited to attend and share in remembering a life so full of grace and love.

We miss her more than words can express. We love her beyond measure. And if there’s one thing we all agree on, it’s this: She truly was the best Mimi ever.
