Shirley Lorraine Willis

Shirley Lorraine Willis, 83, of Marietta, Georgia went to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October, 8, 2026, after a brief illness. She was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, and was the daughter to the late Lonnie and Faye Johnson.

She worked at Target for over twenty years, and she was also a dedicated homemaker. She was a member of Mount Paran Church of God, Central and North location, for over 40 years. Her faith was the foundation of her heart, and she greatly loved spending time with The Word. She had a deep love for animals, especially horses and dogs. She also loved watching Hallmark Christmas movies with her husband, and love of her life, Doug Willis. She enjoyed bible study and listening to her favorite evangelists on the radio. She also greatly loved her daughter, Susanne Willis, son-in-law, Stephen Ventre, and grandson, Alexander Ventre.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Faye Johnson, and close friend Angela Ryals. Survivors include her husband, Doug Willis, daughter, Susanne Willis (Stephen Ventre), grandson, Alexander Ventre, close friend Joe Ryals, and several nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be at Leaf Cremation, in Acworth, Georgia, from 12:30PM to 1:30PM on Wednesday, October 14th, with service following immediately after. Burial will take place at Rolling Hills Memorial cemetery, on site with Leaf Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Must Ministries.
