Susan Lynette Detro

Our beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, Susan Lynette (Sisson) Detro passed away unexpectedly on April 5th, in Cartersville, Georgia after a brief illness. Her celebration of life service will be held on April 18th, at 4:00 pm at Eagle Pointe Church, 5100 Old Stilesboro Rd NW, Acworth, GA 30101.

Mrs. Detro was born on August 22, 1954, in McCaysville, Georgia to James Lamar (deceased) and Mary Jo (Smith) Sisson (deceased). She married Steve Detro on June 29, 1990. She is survived by her husband, 3 siblings, 2 daughters (Shan, Katie), 3 stepsons (Josh, Steven, Andy), 6 grandchildren (Eric, Alex, Brittany, Shelby, Raelyn, and Aiden) and 4 great grandchildren (Ana, Sebastian, Augustus, and Skyelyn).

Susan loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved music and was an accomplished pianist. She loved working in her garden, bird watching, and the outdoors. She and her husband, Steve, enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach. She was actively involved in her church and was a great inspiration to everyone with her strength of faith in Jesus Christ, courage, and hope.
