Tamara (Tami) Cornish, 72 of Sandy Springs, Georgia, passed away on July 27, 2025 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on April 13, 1953 and was the youngest child of Ed and Evelyn Cornish.
Tami was a free spirit who loved to dance and be the life of the party. She spent many of her best years in Key West, Florida enjoying the island lifestyle. She was known for her famous bumpersticker-covered cars and they brought her a lot of joy. She was a musician, singer, and songwriter. Tami was loved by many. She was a good friend and neighbor. She especially loved children and worked at a day care, ran an afterschool program, and was a nanny. Tami loved Christmas and thoughtful gift-giving. She loved her family and all people.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Chris Cornish, who passed away only hours before her. She is survived by her daughter, Tamara York, and two grandchildren, Anderson and Evelyn York. A memorial will be determined at a later date.
