Wesley Lamar Brown

July 18, 1931 — August 16, 2025

Acworth, GA

Wesley (Wes) L Brown, of Acworth, GA, and Winter Haven, FL, was a caring father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. On August 16, 2025, he passed at the age of 94. He was born in Marietta, GA to David and Eva Ella Brown on July 18, 1931. He was preceded in death by his parents, 10 siblings and his wife of 54 years, Margaret (Peggy) Brown. He is survived by his children, Michael (Betty) Brown, Donna (Jim) Warrington, Marilyn (Rick) Neal, Carolyn (Keith) Mewbourne and his stepchildren Jimmy (Sheryl) House and Lynn House; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; and countless friends.

Wes served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War as an aircraft mechanic. Upon leaving the military, he worked for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics – Marietta and retired after 41 years.

He enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, ham radio operator, billiards, woodworking, carving, gardening, feeding the birds, square dancing, and traveling in the RV. He was meticulous at anything he pursued and a jack of all trades. He was a giving, kind man and loved to share his help, wisdom, advice, and guidance to all. He will be terribly missed, forever in the hearts of his family and many friends. At his request, there will not be a formal service. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, you may contribute to the American Cancer Society or to an organization of your preference.
