William “Bill” Burl Hall, 82, of Villa Rica, GA, (formerly of Biloxi, MS) passed away on November 7, 2023. He was born on June 22, 1941. To summarize his time on this Earth between those dates is nearly impossible.
Those who knew him knew him as Bill, Burl or Willie.
He will be remembered for his love of his family, and love of singing and telling jokes. He kept family, friends and random strangers entertained everywhere he went. It was important to him that he try to bring joy and laughter to everyone around him.
His vocal impressions of the country musicians he loved were amazing. His all time favorite though was Elvis, and the last song he sang prior to passing was Elvis' version of How Great Thou Art.
He is survived by his daughter and her fiancée, Aprylla Hall and Brian Watson, stepdaughter and son in law Cindy and Phil Jones, sister Ann Hawkins, sister and brother in law Helen and Roger Aycock, grandchildren Vincent Sweeten, Matthew Jones, and Megan Jones. He is also survived by countless nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and his beloved cat, Pepper.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Carolyn Louise Crowder Hall, his mother Montine Wood Hall, his father William Barnett Hall, his brother Jack Hall, and his brother J.L. Hall.
He served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1972 and was proud to have served his country during wartime.
For 30 years, he had a successful career at Roadway Express as a truck driver.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor his memory. If you would like to do something in memory of him; sing a song, tell a joke, do something to bring joy and laughter to others.
