William “Bill” Guida
1949 – 2025
William “Bill” Guida, 76, of Waleska, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in New York and raised in Homestead, Florida, Bill married the love of his life, Diana Borron, at the top of the St. Augustine Lighthouse in 1999. He lovingly called her his “red-headed Indian,” and together they shared a life full of devotion and memories.
He was a proud father to Carla, Heather, and Ronnie, stepfather to Justin, Riesha, and Shawna, and found great joy in being “Grandpa” to Trent, Graysen, Gavin, Philip, Shaleigh, Oscar, Samuel, Kate, and Susan, as well as a great-grandpa to Ansleigh.
Bill’s laughter and endless jokes made every gathering unforgettable. He loved surf fishing, working on Chevys, and was known as a skilled mechanic who could fix anything. Always ready to help, he never met a stranger.
Proud of his Italian and Hungarian heritage, New York roots, and the family life he built in Florida, Bill settled in Georgia more than 20 years ago. We’re sure his is beloved pets—Xena, Cody, Lil’ Bit, Storm, Lady Bug, Hurley, Maddie, and his kitty, Rose—were waiting to greet him in heaven.
Though deeply missed, he will be remembered for his heavy-handed hugs, famous Italian mushrooms, and unwavering love for family. His wife, Diana, and daughter Carla were by his side at his passing. His spirit will live on in the stories, laughter, and love he leaves behind.
Bill, we love you so much, and we can’t wait to see you again in the kingdom of heaven. Your laughter and spirit will surely fill the heavens, and until we meet again, we will look for the signs that you’re occasionally “checking in on us.”
Bill was truly one of a kind—“they just don’t make ’em like that anymore.”
